Hey, I’m Roeleke. But you can call me Roo. 

I’m a seeker of truth and curious in all things unusual. I’m also, in all honesty, a bit of a weirdo too- which I love. It turns out to be the best part of me. 🥸

My work is the result of what I find on my journey that is centred around the question: Who AM I? Of which, (pointers to) the answers often present themselves to me in dreams or meditations. And they won’t let me go unless I set them free on canvas. 

Much of my work is inspired by symbolism, geometry and the platonic solids. They have been one of my obsessions since math class. These shapes and forms spoke to me in a different way than any other shape or form, as if they were alive and talking, describing a universal mystery and its musing. It is known, as I learned later from Plato, that all form and matter is formed from the combination of these geometrical shapes. ALL form of matter, found throughout the natural world. No wonder it fascinates me.

The platonic solids along other never ending patterns and repeating geometrical shapes make up what is called “Sacred Geometry” it is a universal language that is considered more powerful than any written language. Our mind unconsciously relate to the architecture that create life.

“Sacred geometry” gives us access to a higher vibration of electromagnetic energy, opening up possibilities and the potentiality to embody the flow of higher dimensional consciousness.  Drawing, looking at and learning about these shapes and patterns rectorates and harmonises our natural state. Peace, joy, love, creativity, abundance. 

I have so many questions, about myself, humanity and about life, but they dissolve as I op en up to all that is subtlety communicated in between thoughts, words, lines, colors and brushstrokes. 

I am born in the Netherlands, and there is also where my little art studio is located. But I am finding myself mostly living around the world, staying for a couple weeks or months in one place, never really knowing where I will be guided to next.
